In Hanyuan,not only that you can learn standard Chinese, but also that you will get in touch with different layers of Chinese culture, for example , erhu——the representative of Chinese instruments. To meet our students' curiosity of Chinese traditional culture, we hired a erhu player who has much experience of teaching foreigners, to set up a folk music teaching class at regular intervals. You can get familiar with Chinese cultures as well as enjoying a cup of afternoon tea in the nice atmosphere of Hanyuan.

Movie Salon, which started from October of 2006 to now,have showed about 120 sections of films whose including Chinese village, New Year's greeting piece, documentary,old China, etc.. Students can join the class once a week,is the time to tell about Chinese film legends.Throughout seeing the film, teachers analysis and explain the film dialogue and actor's line to help the students understand the film as well as learn the pure and practical Chinese. Besides, in classes, teachers may introduce in details the culture or social appearance in the films, and organize the students to discuss together actively to make you enjoy the film and even know the Chinese, our society and culture.

Students will learn 4-5 Chinese songs well in a month.We have different two levels group lessons in Huaihai Road Campus and Zhongshan Park Campus.Singing songs is a kind of method to learn Chinese well.Hanyuan's karaoke course has been being popular with the students since 2007.

As the development of Shanghai, recently, the ability to speak Shanghai dialect is one of the most skills in getting success in living and working in Shanghai.To get along with the life in Shanghai, know different fields and the customs, as that you may gain more business chances. To make more friends with Shanghainees and express one's feeling better, learning a little Shanghai dialect, especially the slang, is very important for the oversea friends.Hanyuan's Shanghai dialect course offers the students a simple and convenient study method to help them quickly grasp the basic pronunciation of Shanghai dialect,creating an interesting atmosphere to make students learn how to speak Chinese in a short term. Students are able to communicate with Shanghainees wherever the Shanghai dialect be used.
Once  a week in Zhongshan Park campus or Huaihai Road campus. Students will make big progresses in both of listening and spoken Chinese.

Every Monday evening, 7p.m.-9p.m. in Zhongshan Park Campus.
The teacher will choose one hottest topic and make the materials ourselves. Students will learn the newest words in mandarin and express themselves  more fluently by watching a TV programm.
 
Fast-improving oral Chinese is our basic course and one of the most popular courses. This course can not only teach the new students the effective way to grasp the standard pronunciation, but also make the students who are very shy speak out as possible as they can. The teachers will make study plan and revise new teaching material to meet your study needs. Students can choose one-to-one class or small class.
